✨ STUDENT SPOTLIGHT ✨

Emma is a pharmacy student and has been doing a rotation with us. Let's learn a little bit about her!

👉 Hometown: Marion, Iowa
👉 Schooling: 4th year pharmacy student at Drake University, PharmD candidate 2027.
👉 Future plans: Hopeful to complete an Acute Care Residency for my first post-grad year.
👉 Favorite class: The Therapeutics course series, these three classes during pharmacy school is where we got to take all of the knowledge we had gained and applied it to patient case examples. Putting it all together was so fun!
👉 Why you chose to do a rotation at Wagner Drug: So that I could experience what it's like to work at an independent pharmacy. The amount of extra services Wagner Drug offers really stuck out to me. Having a compounding lab was another thing that I had never experienced and was excited to learn more about. Learning more about hormone replacement therapy has been very beneficial!
👉 Hobbies: Journaling, walking, hot yoga and barre classes.
👉 Something you can't live without: My water bottle!

After the closure of Ben Franklin, our town has really been needing a new place to shop. When we expanded Wagner Drug to include the pharmacy in Britt, we had people wanting us to bring the same type of gift shop to our Eagle Grove pharmacy. We listened and we answered! 🤩

✨ Employee Spotlight ✨

Meet Megan! Although she's been with us since April, she's probably a new face for most of you, as she is usually out on the road visiting doctors offices to promote the compounding medications we do at our pharmacy! Let's learn a little more about her!

👉 Role: Certified Pharmacy Technician (since 2015) and Compounding Pharmacy Provider Liaison at Wagner Drug since April 2026.
👉 Favorite thing about working at Wagner Drug: The ability to have a schedule with work/life balance. Working for someone who encourages learning new things, supports new ideas, and trusts his technicians to take on lead roles/projects.
👉 Something you can't live without: My boys (husband and 2 sons) and my DOGS.
👉 Hobbies outside of work: Fishing, camping, hunting, SHOPPING, TRAVELING, and participating in dog shows and sporting events with my Portuguese Water Dog and German Shorthaired Pointer.
👉 Dream vacation: The Maldives or Bora Bora, but I'll take any beach with soft sand and clear blue waters.
