Meet Ashley, RN, our Director of Nursing!

To know Ashley is to love her. She has a true passion for brightening the day of everyone around her, and that warmth shines through in the way she leads, supports her team and cares for patients and families.

For Ashley, hospice is about far more than medical care. It’s about helping families "exhale."

“Hospice isn’t just a specialty; it’s a ministry of compassion...it called me because it's the one corner of healthcare where presence matters as much as skill."

Ashley believes one of the most important things families can know is that hospice is not giving up - it’s choosing comfort, clarity and support. Her advice to families considering hospice? Ask early. Having support sooner can mean better symptom management, more meaningful moments and fewer crisis-driven decisions.

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with family and friends, she is devoted to her faith and community and loves to craft or get outdoors to hike, camp, and enjoy nature.

When asked to describe Lighthouse Hospice in three words, Ashley chose: Compassionate. Faithful. Steady.

Lighthouse Hospice is growing, and we’re looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our care team.

If you’re an RN who believes exceptional hospice care is about more than clinical expertise — it’s about comfort, dignity, presence and compassion — we’d love to hear from you.

Our RNs provide personalized care to patients and support to their families while working alongside an interdisciplinary team to honor each patient’s unique journey.

➡️ $35–$47/hour, based on experience and licensure

What you’ll do:

On World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, we’re reminded of the power of simply being there. 💙

A hand to hold. A hug. A listening ear. Someone willing to walk alongside you through the hard moments.

Hospice and palliative care is about more than medical care. At Lighthouse we focus on comfort, connection and compassionate support for patients and families when they need it most.

Today also marks World Mental Health Day — a meaningful reminder that none of us have to navigate life’s difficult moments alone. Caring for our emotional well-being and being there for the people we love, can make more of a difference than we realize.

Because sometimes, being there is the most meaningful thing we can do. 💙

Join our team!

We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable PRN Social Worker to join our incredible team.

What you can expect:
• Small ongoing patient caseload
• Additional PRN coverage as needed
• Primarily Monday–Friday, business hours
• Flexible scheduling based on needs
• Field visits throughout the Treasure Valley and surrounding Southwest Idaho communities
• Mileage reimbursement
• A supportive team
• Occasional weekend coverage, but not routinely required

We’re looking for someone who has:
• Current Idaho LSW or LMSW license in good standing
• BSW or MSW from a CSWE-accredited program
• Strong assessment, communication, documentation and care-coordination skills
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout our service area
• Hospice, palliative care, home health or healthcare experience preferred
• Oregon licensure preferred, but not required
