Eleven Revel Eagle residents spent a wonderful afternoon exploring Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve with Nancy. Binoculars in hand and curiosity leading the way, our group spotted a variety of birds and waterfowl while enjoying the peaceful trails, changing leaves, and beautiful surroundings. No better way to celebrate autumn in Idaho! 🍁

What does a self-portrait look like when you take away the face? That was the challenge in this week’s Art Outside the Lines meeting at Revel Eagle! Armed with magazines, scissors, glue, and a little imagination, our residents set out to create self-portraits using images, words, colors, and ideas instead of traditional facial features. The result? Wonderful, unexpected glimpses into the personalities, memories, interests, and experiences that make each of us unique.

October 10 marks World Mental Health Day, a time to recognize the importance of mental health, encourage open conversations, and remind ourselves that emotional well-being is just as important as physical health.

We often move through our days balancing responsibilities, supporting others, meeting expectations, and navigating challenges that may not always be visible. Behind every smile and interaction is a person with their own experiences, emotions, and struggles. Mental Health looks different for everyone. A simple check-in, a moment of patience, or a willingness to listen without judgment can make a meaningful difference in someone's day. Creating a culture of understanding begins with recognizing that we never truly know what another person may be going through. As we recognize World Mental Health Day, here are a few reminders worth carrying with us:

• You can be grateful for your life and still have difficult days.
• You can be strong and still need support.
• You can care deeply about others and still need to put yourself first sometimes.
• You never have to know exactly what someone is going through to show them kindness.

Today, take a moment to check in, not just with those around you, but with yourself as well. You never know how much a little understanding, kindness, or encouragement might mean to someone who needs it.

The ladies of Revel Eagle gathered in the Social Club for a cozy “Happy Fall Y’all” luncheon! The menu featured seasonal favorites like pumpkin soup, a colorful harvest salad with roasted butternut squash, toasted pecans, tart cranberries, and creamy goat cheese, turkey sandwiches with cranberry cream cheese, and decadent cinnamon roll bread pudding.

Sometimes, the best outings are the ones that remind us just how extraordinary Idaho can be.

Residents loaded into the van to experience the Sawtooth Mountains north of Boise. The drive carried them along winding scenic byways, beside rivers and hot springs, and even past an unexpected bear sighting from the van. But the real best moment came when they approached Stanley Lake and saw the rugged surface of the Sawtooths perfectly reflected in the still water. For several in the group, this was their first time witnessing this breathtaking sight, and we were grateful to be a part of the experience. ⛰️

Three years ago, Revel Eagle residents started their very own Rugby Club. What started as watch parties in The Social Club grew into travel opportunities, new friendships, and a spirited connection between the residents of Revel Eagle and the local Boise United Rugby Team.

The ladies of Revel Eagle celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a festive Latin Lunch filled with delicious fajitas, chips, salsa, guacamole, and warm churros for dessert. The Social Club was transformed into a colorful fiesta, complete with vibrant decorations and lively Latin music. It was a wonderful afternoon of great food, culture, and community!
