❄️🎨 Eagle Island residents were honored to serve as judges for Innovate Academy’s “The Magic of Winter” Art Contest! Our residents had a wonderful time voting for their favorite student artwork across three different categories. It was such a joy to see the creativity and talent of these amazing young artists! 💙

A big thank-you to Innovate Academy for including our residents in this special event and for sharing the magic of art with our community! ✨🖌️

A little creativity, a lot of fun, and flowers that make us smile! 🌷🌼

🌸💐 A bunch of artists and green thumbs call Eagle Island home! Our Independent Living residents enjoyed getting creative and making their own beautiful floral arrangements for their tables. The best part? The flowers came straight from the yard of one of our very own residents! 🌿🌷

We love seeing our residents share their talents, enjoy nature’s beauty, and bring a little extra color and joy into our community. ❤️

Every community needs a Penny.

At Edgewood Sioux Falls Prairie Crossings, Penny is the unofficial “welcome wagon” no clipboard required, just a smile and an invitation to join her table. She makes a new address feel like home, one lunch invitation at a time. With support from CaringEdge therapy, she’s regained strength and independence to enjoy more family dinners, time with neighbors, and life on her terms. Pull up a chair Penny’s got a spot for you.

Some coaches retire. 🏈💚

“Joey Ball Game” just changed locker rooms. After 42 years on the football sidelines, Joe Glenn now lives in memory care and calls Edgewood Eagle Island home. To Joe, it’s the “dorms,” and he’s still surrounded by a team. There are stories to tell, fight songs to play, players to recruit, and his high school sweetheart, Michele, to dance with.

Joe Glenn still draws up plays, plays fight songs and dances with his wife. See how his Edgewood team helps him stay connected to the life he loves.

It was a fun-filled afternoon of music, smiles, and memorable moments!

Aging and moving into the next phase of life doesn’t mean you have to do everything yourself.

When Velma first suggested senior living, her lifelong farm-boy husband, Carl, wasn’t exactly jumping at the idea. But after a few tours with their daughter, they found their place at Edgewood Mitchell Assisted Living. Carl planted the community’s first garden, while Velma has been busy making herself at home. She’s learned new songs on the piano, figured out how to text and stay connected on her iPhone, and tackled everyday challenges with a little more confidence, all with the support of her care team along the way.

Moving to assisted living can be a big decision. Read Velma’s inspiring story of finding a true home at Edgewood Mitchell, where therapy, technology, and personalized support help residents maintain independence and continue doing what they love.
