The Iowa Nurses Association invites nurses, students, educators, researchers, and healthcare professionals to share their work at the 2026 INA Annual Conference: Stronger Together!

We welcome submissions highlighting nursing research, quality improvement, evidence-based practice, education, clinical innovation, and other initiatives advancing the nursing profession.

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001—a day that changed our nation and our world forever.

We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost. We honor the first responders, healthcare professionals, service members, and ordinary people who demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy. And we hold close the families and communities who continue to carry the loss of that day.

For nurses, September 11 is also a reminder of the profound importance of service, compassion, courage, and caring for others in their most difficult moments.

Twenty-five years later, we pause to remember.

May we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the humanity that brought people together in the days that followed.

📣 Call for Interest: INA Membership Engagement Task Force

The Iowa Nurses Association is seeking motivated members to help us find new and improved ways to connect with members and strengthen engagement across the association.

Using feedback from our Membership Engagement Survey as a starting point, the task force will explore practical and creative engagement strategies and develop a recommended action plan for the INA Board of Directors.

The task force will meet virtually at least twice per month through the remainder of the calendar year. No previous committee experience is required—just a willingness to contribute ideas and help move INA forward!

Today, we celebrate the freedoms we cherish, the nation we are proud to call home, and the brave individuals whose service and sacrifice have protected those freedoms for generations.

As communities gather with family and friends, we also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the nurses, healthcare professionals, first responders, military members, and essential workers who are spending the holiday caring for others. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.
