$1,200 for a routine physical. Insurance paid most of it. She paid $56. So technically "covered," right?

Except now she knows the system just charged her plan $1,200 for 20 minutes + basic labs. And that knowledge makes people avoid preventative care even when they're insured. Because on some level, we all sense this isn't sustainable.

The bill shouldn't be a secret. Your doctor should know what they're charging, you should know what you'll pay, and that number should reflect actual value.

That's direct primary care. No drama, no surprises, actual transparency.
