✨ IFS and Restorative Justice: A Countercultural Intervention
🎤 Speakers:
Rev. Dr. Celeste Lebak, PCC, Founder/Chief Unlearning Officer, RJIOK
Darby Sarason (she/her), Abstract Counseling
Since spring 2025, Darby Sarason and Celeste Lebak have introduced IFS restorative justice circles to the IFS practitioner/therapist community, encouraging participants to implement these practices in their own communities. This workshop offers IFS-informed therapists and practitioners a way to respond to the current cultural and political climate, create a client pipeline, and offer a container that expands beyond traditional group therapy. Participants will learn how to utilize their IFS expertise to create broader impact through ripple effects, expanding access and encouraging community connection. In these dire times, a broader impact than individual therapy is needed, and this approach allows therapists to move beyond one-on-one work and increase self-energy in a group setting as well as combating burnout.
Participants will gain practical tools, experience the process, and leave with an example group agenda to implement in their own communities. This workshop will support therapists and IFS practitioners in using their IFS knowledge and skills to go beyond the one-on-one model and expand the reach of self energy into a broader community with the intent of creating a powerful impact to counter the existing climate in the world. This creates empowerment for both IFS practitioners and participants in shared space. Not Recorded (Live Only)
