Congratulations to Firefighter Isaiah Shank on graduating from Frederick County Fire Rescue recruit class 40. He graduated last night and his first shift started today.

Crews from 32 and 69 had a rope drill at Ziegler’s mill today. Crews set up a modified skate block and lowered rescuers from the 4th floor to the ground.

Around 12:38 today E32-2 with 6 assisted York Springs Fire Company No. 1 with a vehicle accident with entrapment. One driver was trapped by the dash and had multiple leg fractures on both legs. All 3 crews worked together and were able to lift the dash freeing the patient. Once freed life team EMS transported the patient to wellflight 2-8 and the patient was flown to York Hospital.

7/28/26 at 16:00 E32-2 with 6 assisted Northern York County Fire Rescue with a vehicle accident with entrapment. Crews assisted removing the roof and getting the patient out of a SUV that was partially trapped under a box truck. Brush 32-2 assisted with traffic control.

16:54 After just backing in from the accident E32-1 with 6 responded to assist United Hook & Ladder Company #33 with a garage fire a vehicle repair shop. E32–1 arrived as the 3rd engine and started fire attack and exposure protection on the Charlie side. Brush 32-2 assisted with traffic control.

As we mark 250 years of this great nation, I’m taking a moment every single day in July to shine a spotlight on the everyday folks right here in our own backyard - the neighbors, volunteers, small business owners, coaches, caregivers and friends who show up, give back and make this place home.

Follow along all month long and get ready to meet people who make our town a little better, a little brighter and a whole lot worth celebrating.

JULY 11: ✨Our Fire Department Volunteers Northeast Adams Fire & EMS✨

Fire department volunteers are some of the most selfless people I know. They show up for us on our worst days and they support all of our fun events - trick or treating, parades, Colonial Day, Touch a Truck, Easter bunny and Santa escorts - and more. They do so much work to fundraise throughout the year with chicken bbq’s, bingo and raffles and they put in hundreds of training hours - all while working their “day” job.

They’ll have their trucks and “Grandma” in the parade on August 1 Our Community. Our Country. 250 Years to Celebrate! Come out to cheer them on.

Thank you for all you do that is seen and unseen in our community! We appreciate all of you.

A fire at a power plant on Hunterstown Rd in Adams County is affecting NJ power. Over 55 responders are on the scene.
