A tongue-tie is only one piece of the puzzle. Body tension, birth patterns, muscle compensation, and posture can all mimic or worsen the symptoms of an oral restriction. Releasing a tongue-tie without addressing these underlying patterns may limit the outcome, which is why a multidisciplinary approach is so important.
We’re incredibly fortunate to have Moriah, our Craniosacral Therapist, involved in every infant consultation. She helps identify areas of tension, screens for whole-body restrictions, and provides individualized recommendations to help each family determine the best path forward before and after treatment.
At the Pennsylvania Tongue-Tie Center, we’ve believed from the very beginning that successful treatment requires a team—not just a procedure. We are proud to have been among the first practices in the country to build a truly multidisciplinary tongue-tie program, bringing together an experienced release provider with nine dedicated support therapists. Our team collaborates to help infants, children, and adults achieve the best possible functional outcomes through comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.
