Introducing...

The Paw Shop!

Our Cedar Creek Community is asking for your donation of items we can use to stock our Paw Shop!

Residents will have an opportunity to earn "Cheetah Change" in a variety of ways like attending events or exercise classes, achieving wellness goals, awards for competitions, incentives, feel good gifts "just because", and etc.

We hope it will promote independence, socialization, and overall well-being as they use the change to stay active and continue to be able to shop and provide things for themselves without relying on others for some of their transport or funding.

As they collect the special bills, it will be redeemable in our shop- opening in September- to shop for items they may need, things that make them feel good, or items they may want to gift out to family etc for their celebrations.

To make this program a success, we are seeking donations of products from our community members and surrounding businesses that share in our commitment to supporting our aging community. Donations of any size are greatly appreciated and could include things like:

Snacks and Beverages
Coffee, Tea, and Candy
Cozy Slippers and Socks
Puzzles, Games, Coloring Books etc
Craft Materials
Seasonal Decorations
Wellness Products
Greeting Cards and Small Gifts
MORE

We can meet your donation in a variety of ways like social media posts, community newsletters, or donor recognition in displays in our store- for example.

What a great night!

Cedar Creek Senior Living had its second annual National Night Out with a groovy 60/70’s theme!

Residents and the surrounding community enjoyed burgers on the grill with Chef Carlos, live music, friendship bracelet crafting, tie dying, and an awesome 50,60,and 70’s car show!

We asked surrounding area car owners to come and show us their vintage cars.

We had a goal of eight cars… and we got 23!

Top it off with visits from the Anoka County Sheriff's Office and East Bethel Fire Department … how could you go wrong!?!

We were the National Rookie of the Year last year for our national night out. Can we do it again for small communities this year?

With so much fun… I think we already won!

Our Cheetah cheer team headed out to the MN State Fairgrounds Friday night to audition for the amateur talent contest.

We enjoyed some sandwiches made by the kitchen for dinner, got to see some other fun talents, got ourselves free tshirts, and had fun performing for the audience.

On the way home, residents talked about how this is something they really didn’t think they’d be doing as a part of their senior living experience.

But here at Cedar Creek, we believe anything is possible and all just a part of Aging Magnificently!

We will find out the results of the auditions later this week/early next week.
