If I had a dollar for every client who has looked at me completely SHOOK and said, “OMG, HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?!” I could probably retire. 😂🔮

And after all these years, my absolute favorite response is still:

“I don’t know… I must be psychic.” 💀

Like ma’am, respectfully, that IS why we’re here. 😂

But I will never get tired of that moment. Especially when it’s something so oddly specific that even I’m sitting there thinking, “Well damn, okay then.” 😂

MORE lies the internet told you about getting a psychic reading. PART 2. 🔮

4. “Psychics are psychic all the time.”

Absolutely not.

I do not walk around with my psychic ability “on.”

I internally turn it on when I’m working with clients or students, and I turn it off when I’m living my life.

Keeping my psychic work in a container allows me to hone in with more accuracy and insight when I AM working.

It also keeps me from absorbing everyone’s stories and emotions and having all their dead people talking to me while I’m just trying to order at the deli counter. 😂

That’s called boundaries, babe. Even the dead have to respect office hours.

And when you message me six months after your reading asking, “Remember when you told me...?”

Chances are, I don’t. 😂

It’s intentional. I don’t want to carry your story, energy, or information around after our work together is complete. I see MANY people every week. Part of my process is releasing the information I channeled for you after our session so I can clear that space and be fully present for the next person.

5. “The scarier the prediction, the more gifted the psychic.”

NOPE.

Someone terrifying you about curses, death, cheating, demons, impending disaster, or something horrible that is DEFINITELY going to happen is not evidence that they’re gifted.

Especially if the next sentence is about how much money you need to pay them to “fix” it.

Fear should never be a sales strategy.

6. “Psychics know everything.”

Absolutely the f**k not. 😂

Sometimes I receive something incredibly clearly.

Sometimes information needs interpretation.

And sometimes?

I don’t know.

I will ALWAYS tell you “I don’t know” before I make something up because you paid me and I feel pressured to give you an answer.

That’s not psychic ability.

That’s ego.

And I take the ethics of this work very seriously.

The internet has given people some WILD ideas about what getting a psychic reading is actually supposed to look like. 😂🔮

So let’s clear some of them up. PART 1.

1. “A real psychic shouldn’t need you to tell them ANYTHING.”

Please talk to me. 😂

You don’t need to sit completely silent, refusing to give me context because you’re afraid you’re going to “give me the answer.”

This isn’t a test.

Ask questions. Tell me what area of your life you want to look at. Tell me when something resonates and when it doesn’t.

Giving me context doesn’t suddenly make me “not” psychic.

You don’t get bonus points for making me figure out both the question AND the answer. My job is to use my psychic ability to give you clarity, insight, and information that is actually useful to you.

2. “A psychic can tell you exactly what WILL happen.”

Nothing is etched in stone.

I see things in paths.

I can see the path you’re currently on and the likely outcome if you continue down that path. But YOU have free will, and so does everyone else involved.

Decisions change paths.

If a psychic guarantees something is absolutely, unquestionably going to happen?

RUN.

I’ll tell you what I see and where your current path appears to be leading. But your future is not predetermined.

3. “If the psychic is accurate, everything should make sense immediately.”

Nope.

Sometimes it will. Sometimes you’ll stare at me like I have six heads. 😂

I will ALWAYS tell you what I’m seeing, even when it doesn’t make sense yet. Most times, it will make sense to YOU before it makes sense to ME.

I’m receiving pieces of your story without having lived your life. My job is to give you what I’m getting, not force it to make sense.

Sometimes it clicks that night. Sometimes weeks or months later you suddenly think, “HOLY S**T. THAT’S what she was talking about.”

And that’s exactly why I encourage you to record your reading or take notes.

Some readings really stick with you.
At my last Messages from Beyond the Gate gallery, I kept being pulled back to one side of the room. Again and again, Spirit led me there, but the message wasn’t fully clear yet.
So I waited.
Toward the very end of the gallery, it finally came through.
This woman needed a healing message, and when I understood what needed to be said, I sat down in front of her. I wanted to look her in the eyes while I delivered it.
This is one of those moments I still think about.
Mediumship galleries are unpredictable. I never know who will come through, who will receive a message, or what that message will be. But there are moments when you understand exactly why someone was meant to be in that room.
I cannot wait to do this again.
