🌟🐾 Pet of the Month: Meet Rosie! 🐾🌟

This month's spotlight belongs to the one and only Rosie! 💖

Rosie is full of energy and keeps everyone smiling with her playful personality. She loves to run, play, and carry around her favorite stuffed animals. One of her funniest hobbies? Playing with straws and using her tiny little paws to knock things off just because she can! 😄🐾

When she's not busy playing, Rosie is soaking up all the love and attention she can get. She absolutely adores having her hair brushed and never turns down a little extra affection. And if you tell Rosie that dinner is ready, she'll come running with excitement! 🍽️🐶

Her sweet, friendly spirit and joyful personality make her a favorite with everyone she meets. We're so lucky to have Rosie as part of the Western Carolina Regional Animal Hospital family!

This past Saturday, we had the pleasure of meeting sweet Lola, who came to see us for an injured paw. While Saturdays can be especially busy, Lola was an absolute sweetheart throughout her visit and handled everything like a champion. 💕

To help keep your pets safe this Independence Day:

🚨 Important Hospital Update 🚨

We are currently experiencing unexpected plumbing issues at our hospital, which means our client restrooms are temporarily unavailable.

For your convenience, we have placed a portable restroom outside the building for emergency use. However, if possible, we kindly ask that you use the restroom before arriving for your appointment or utilize nearby facilities, such as Ingles or a local gas station.

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work diligently to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Providing a comfortable experience for you and your pets remains our priority, and we are grateful for your understanding during this temporary situation.

🐾 Meet Bogey! 🐾

We had the pleasure of welcoming the newest (and fluffiest!) member of our hospital family—Bogey! 💙 This adorable puppy boy came in for his very first round of vaccines and preventative care with Dr. Hower and our nurse Liz, and he absolutely stole our hearts at 7 weeks old.

Starting puppies off with proper vaccinations and monthly preventatives is one of the most important steps in setting them up for a long, happy, and healthy life. Vaccines help protect against serious diseases, while preventatives guard against parasites like fleas, ticks, and heartworms. Prevention truly is the best medicine!

Bogey was the perfect patient and might just take the award for cutest and fluffiest of the week 🐶✨ We can’t wait to watch him grow!

🚨 Emergency Success Story: Meet Dixon! 🐾❤️

Sweet Dixon presented to us on April 14th with a GDV (Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus)—a life-threatening condition where the stomach fills with gas and twists on itself. This can cut off blood flow and quickly become fatal without immediate treatment.

Our ER team jumped into action and got Dixon into surgery as quickly as possible. After a successful procedure, Dixon did experience some post-operative complications and required hospitalization and close monitoring.

We are beyond happy to share that Dixon has made a full recovery and is now back at home with his loving family! 💕

Throughout his stay, Dixon was the most gentle, perfect patient—we absolutely adored caring for him. Stories like his remind us why emergency care is so important and how quickly intervention can save lives.

Way to go, Dixon! We’re so glad you’re feeling better! 🐶✨
