Saturn Returns happen only three times in our life, and occur on average every 29-30 yrs.
During my first return at 30 I left my first marriage of a decade and an equivalently long career - as what the first return brings in its wake is always big and changes our life completely.
Right now I am at the middle point of my Second Saturn Return (reached at approximately age 56-60) with a Retrograde pass next week ..some systems say on the 11th Sept so bang on this New Moon in Virgo.
Reflection, Pivot, Audit, Restructuring and preparing to step into more authority and leadership - as well as setting the stage for the next 30 yrs if I am lucky enough to live them.
What legacy do I want to leave, what do I do with the time left, what works, what no longer can be taken with me.
Goodbyes and/or anticipatory grief are present in all areas of life. The rainbow too.
Our last Return is around ages 84-90 yrs - The Elders Reckoning, a privilege to be present there ( not all make it), passing the torch, acceptance, making peace and blessings.
So where are you on Saturns ladder …
3 staging posts on a journey going in the same direction for us all.
Saturn is a Master Teacher - I have it conjunct my midheaven - a self made path, no easy passes just graft, discipline, responsibility, but it gets easier with age, and you end up further than ones who flew past you at the start. You finish the race and receive the prize, where others abandoned the quest eons ago. You end up older but definitely wiser.
I may bunker down the next few days - this midway point feels super heavy, poignant and sacred … wish me luck - should be totally clear of this return by next February - wonder what state I will be in by then - I look to the horizon with anticipation and hope x
