Maybe your child:

The strongest leaders know this truth:
you can’t build legacy alone.

There is no “I” in team… only people aligned in purpose, committed to impact, and willing to do the work.
And this right here? This is what alignment looks like.

💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿EVEN LEADERS NEED TO MOONWALK AWAY FROM STRESS SOMETIME…

May is Mental Health Awareness Month… and even those who pour into others need a pause too.

This week, I took part of my team to see MJ.

No meetings.
No crisis management.
No productivity expectations.
Just a moment to breathe, laugh, connect, and simply BE.

Because here’s the truth…

You cannot continuously pour into others from an empty cup.

As leaders, especially in mental health, we often carry so much.

We hold space for:
✔️ children in crisis
✔️ families navigating difficult seasons
✔️ therapists carrying emotional weight
✔️ communities needing healing

And while leadership is rewarding… it can also be heavy.

One thing I’ve learned as a CEO and clinician is this:

Great leadership is not just about producing results.

It’s about creating spaces where people feel valued, supported, appreciated, and HUMAN.

Sometimes being a great leader means:
✨ checking in
✨ protecting your team from burnout
✨ creating moments of joy
✨ giving permission to pause
✨ modeling wellness instead of just preaching it

At Community Matters, we believe mental health starts with us too.

Healing work is sacred work, but sustainable leadership requires restoration.

So this Mental Health Awareness Month, consider this your reminder:

Take the break.
Go to the movies.
Laugh.
Rest.
Reconnect.

Because the people carrying the mission deserve care too. 💙
