Last week, I had the privilege of speaking to youth at the Juvenile Detention Center.

As I stood before them, I saw more than charges, case files, or poor decisions.

😥I saw pain.
😥I saw trauma.
😥I saw unmet needs.
😥I saw children still worthy of love, grace, and opportunity.

I shared my story not because my journey is perfect, but because transparency creates connection.

I needed them to know this:

👉🏼One mistake does not define your life.
👉🏼One setback does not cancel your purpose.
👉🏼Your past may explain you, but it does not have to imprison you.

I reminded them that accountability matters but so does healing.

Sometimes the behavior people judge is rooted in pain people never bothered to understand.

My hope is that I planted a seed.
💎A seed of hope.
💎A seed of responsibility.
💎A seed of possibility.

Because even in confinement… transformation is still available.

And I will always believe this:

Broken chapters do not mean the story is over.💙 Thank you Candace ChunkyDiva Donaldson for the wonderful opportunity🌹

Community Matters, LLC is intentionally loud and proud about our mission to bridge the gap in behavioral healthcare services for communities of color.

I will post.
I will boast.
I will do the most.

Why?
Because visibility matters.
Representation matters.
Access matters.

I will continue to engage, educate, inspire, and elevate my community to create lasting impact.

Because we deserve the best.
Our families deserve healthy households.
Our children deserve the opportunity to live whole, healthy, and fulfilled lives.

And until the gaps in care are no longer gaps.
I will keep showing up.
I will keep building.
I will keep advocating.

Community Matters because our community matters. 💙💛

💙💛 WE’RE BUILDING SOMETHING BIGGER — AND WE NEED THE RIGHT PEOPLE TO HELP US DO IT. 💛💙

At Community Matters, we are intentionally building a team to help address the growing service gaps in our community—especially for children and families impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental needs.

The need is real.
Too many families are waiting.
Too many children need support.
Too many communities remain underserved.
And we’re committed to helping change that.

We are actively growing our ABA team and currently seeking:

✨ Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
✨ Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
✨ Individuals interested in becoming RBTs — training provided!

Have a passion for helping children?
Love making meaningful connections?
Want a career where your work truly changes lives?
This may be your sign.

You do not need to already be an RBT to explore this opportunity. If you have the heart, dedication, and willingness to learn, we are open to helping the right candidates get trained and started in the field.

At Community Matters, we believe in investing in people who are called to serve.

Because when we build strong clinicians…
We build stronger children.
Stronger families.
Stronger communities.

📍 In-home & in-office opportunities available
📍 Flexible opportunities for qualified candidates
📍 Mission-driven, supportive team culture
📍 Training & growth opportunities available

If you’re ready to be part of something meaningful, we’d love to connect.

💙 Something doesn’t feel right… and that’s okay to say it out loud!!

• Delayed speech or communication
• Difficulty with transitions
• Repetitive behaviors

If you’ve been wondering whether your child may benefit from additional support, trust your instincts. Early intervention can make a powerful difference.
