Did you know? Skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes are not quite the same.

Skilled nursing provides physician-directed medical care and rehabilitation after an illness, injury, or surgery. Nursing homes primarily provide ongoing help with daily living.

Skilled nursing stays are often short-term and recovery-focused (though can be ongoing to treat chronic conditions,) while nursing home care is usually long-term.

We offer skilled nursing care, both long and short-term, at all our Medilodge facilities. Reach out to us and schedule a tour to learn more!

Help us gather supplies for students in our community by dropping off items at any of our locations between July 27th and August 14th.

“They’ve been a little weaker lately… but we thought it was just normal.”
We hear this often, especially in the spring. 🌿
During the winter, falls and sudden illnesses can make it more obvious when someone needs additional support. But this time of year, the changes can be quieter—subtle shifts that are easy to overlook… until suddenly, they’re not.
Here are a few signs it may be time to consider more support:
• Increased weakness or difficulty getting up
• More frequent “almost falls” or unsteadiness
• Skipping medications or confusion with schedules
• Eating less or noticeable weight loss
• Needing more help with daily tasks than before
If you’re noticing even one or two of these changes, it’s worth paying attention.
You don’t have to wait for a crisis to get help.
