Start salting your food!
Do: Understand that sodium is not only good for you, it’s imperative! If you’re consistently eating food out at restaurants or prepackaged, than yes, you need to be mindful. However, when you’re making your food at home or just preparing something in general, please SALT YOUR FOOD! The average active adult (someone on this feed) needs more sodium and electrolytes in general than they are constantly told.
Don’t: Overcorrect. Simply start by adding a few clicks of some fresh salt to your food, especially during the cooking process. Adding some salt to the REAL FOOD you’re consuming MAY have an impact on your cravings later on in the day. If you’re consistently craving some salty snacks at the end of the day, you’re probably underconsuming electrolytes throughout the day.
