This Pride Month, we’re honored to share the stories behind Not Another Second, Watermark’s national cultural awareness exhibition created in collaboration with SAGE.

Through powerful interviews and portraits, LGBTQ+ older adults reflect on the years they lost hiding who they were and the courage it took to live authentically. Their stories are filled with resilience, humanity, hope, and a reminder of the importance of belonging at every age.

Today, we’re spotlighting Nick, whose story reminds us why visibility, acceptance, and connection matter so deeply. Because everyone deserves to live fully as themselves. 🌈

Meet Lorraine Arsenault,
Lorraine just celebrated her 100th birthday on June 9th! Lorraine joined the East Village community in October of 2024. She was an avid golfer, and enjoyed reading. Lorraine enjoys attending music programs, WU classes, games and likes movies.

When asked what they love most about living at East Village Place, Lorraine replied, “The people are so nice here.”

Cloverbrook Farm came to visit this past week with 10 baby goats. The goats are 8 weeks old. There were two sets of twins and all the goats were all named after dunkin donut items! Everyone loved holding them and watching the scamper and play. Most of us did not want to give them back and were sorry to see them go! This is definitely a must for next Spring.
