Hello beautiful souls,

Today, July 22nd, is the feast day of Mary Magdalene — and I want to share something with you that moved me deeply.

For centuries, she was handed down to us as a footnote. A reformed sinner. A woman defined by a man's attention rather than her own knowing. But the earliest texts tell a different story — of a woman who arrived already whole. A teacher. A transmitter of wisdom. A woman whose authority unsettled the very disciples around her, simply because it was never theirs to give.

Today marks 250 years of independence from Great Britain. Our youth as a nation shows in our arrogance, and I pray for our growth and sustainability. We keep repeating colonization's "power over" cycle — a nation breaks free from its oppressor only to recreate that dynamic against those it deems inferior. We did this through the erasure and genocide of Native American peoples, and by building our wealth on the backs of enslaved people — both voluntary immigrants and the horrific abuse, legalized murder, forced diaspora, and enslavement of Black people in the American Southeast.

Prayer for the USA…..

Creator, Mother, Father,
May we understand true freedom, personal sovereignty, and independence from those who abuse their power.
May we walk our talk and embody our core values of freedom of personal expression and speech.
May we honor our equality and equity.
May we uphold peace and justice for all.
And So It is!

Today, we celebrate the freedom we are all still fighting for and the enforcement of the emancipation of African slaves in the United States, a mere 161 years ago. As we reflect on Juneteenth, we also honor the ongoing journey toward freedom, equity, and justice for all.
