You’re treating pain like a stop sign. And it’s keeping you stuck.

The Stoplight System is something myself and our clients use daily. It helps us decide what to do when pain shows up during training, rehab sessions or during home programming.

🟢 0 to 3/10, not worsening: keep going, progress gradually. 🟡 4 to 6/10, settles after, nothing sharp: modify one variable and continue.
🔴 7+/10, sharp and intense. stop that movement for right now. Come back at a later date. Find an entry point elsewhere, get assessed if it sticks around.

This allows you to be the decision maker and keep moving. You’re following a framework and making an informed decision rather than going in blindly. Allowing you to keep moving. A lot of the time things clean up.

And remember: all lights eventually turn green.
