I used to think patients disappearing like ghosts during a treatment plans was normal and just part of the job.

It turns out, rehab had no context.
It didn’t relate to them or their goals.
They could do these movements at home.
They didn’t progress beyond a certain point.
There was a big gap between PT and what they actually did in the gym.
They figured they could do it on their own and didn’t see the value.

Not all physical therapy is the same.
Physical therapy failed them, and the system let them fall through the cracks.
