On this day 3 years ago we did a thing!! We had NJ first Birth Equity Conference! We honored our own…had amazing speakers from to to . We ate, danced our butts off, celebrated, we kiki’d and we built a community of supporters for Birth justice. Since then we’ve taken a hiatus. What do you think? Should we run it back? We showed up for our mamas — and it was everything. 🤍

On April 9th, PHEI partnered with to host our Community Baby Shower, a celebration of the families we serve and the community that holds them.

From resources to connection to a whole lot of love, this event was a reminder of why we do this work every single day. Shoutout to MEND and East Orange WIC who supported our event with there knowledge, resources, and love for community.

At PHEI, we believe every birthing person deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated — not just in the delivery room, but throughout the entire journey.
