Rosa Ditto, 94, passed away at her home in East Prairie, Missouri on May 9, 2026. Rosa was born on September 16, 1931 to the late Harvey Loomis and Addi Cogdill Loomis. She was a lifelong resident of East Prairie. Rosa spent most of her career as a CNA, working

After proudly serving families in Mississippi County through Shelby Funeral Home, we are honored to announce that the funeral home’s name will be changing to Caudle-Shelby Funeral Home.

While the name is changing, our commitment to compassionate, professional, and dignified care remains exactly the same. Families will continue to see the same familiar faces, receive the same personal attention, and experience the same dedication that has guided our service to the community.

We understand how important the Shelby name is to Mississippi County and the generations of families who have trusted it through the years. Since 1900, Shelby Funeral Home has been a staple of the community, carrying a long-standing tradition of care and service. Out of respect for that history and the legacy the Shelby name represents, we are proud to continue carrying the Shelby name forward while also adding our family name as we continue to serve future generations.

Caudle-Shelby Funeral Home will remain family-owned and operated, solely owned by John Cody Caudle and his wife, Paige Caudle. As a family, we are committed to continuing the tradition of serving other families with compassion, respect, and personal care during life’s most difficult moments.

Over the coming weeks and months, families will begin to notice changes to our logos, signs, advertisements, and office supplies as we transition to the Caudle-Shelby Funeral Home name. During this process, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these updates throughout our locations and materials.

Barbara Sue Russell Tinnon, age 85, a resident of East Prairie, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the E.W. Lucille Cates Hospice House in Ocala, FL. She was born March 21, 1941, in New Madrid, MO, to the late Argus Regon Russell and Ardena Noe Russell, and was
