February recap 🤍

This month felt full in the best way.

We spent a lot of time focused on AAC - programming devices, modeling language, troubleshooting, collaborating with teams, and celebrating those small but powerful moments when a student uses their device independently. There’s nothing quite like watching a child realize, “Oh… this works.” Behind the scenes, I’ve also been working with school districts to help students access and implement AAC devices.

And in between all of that? Sensory room sessions filled with movement, play, laughter, and connection. Swings, obstacle courses, jumping, regulating, co-regulating. Because communication grows best when kids feel safe, supported, and engaged.

AAC. Advocacy. Play.

Grateful for the families and schools who trust me to support their students’ voices. 💛

Here’s one for the toddler mamas!

The toddler stage is one of testing, and protesting and it’s not always easy. But know this is a crucial time where connection is imperative. So even if you’ve picked that chicken nugget your toddler keeps throwing on the floor for the 5th time today, know you patience is planting a seed. Those seeds continue to grow and form a deep connection. That connection becomes communication whether it be through words or, gestures which is on e of the most important skills a child can develop.

Take a deep breath mama, you’re navigating it all at once with grace. You’re doing an incredible job ✨
