Finally found an easy way to add maca to my mornings!
For a long time I had been adding maca to my morning smoothie, but as I got away from my daily shake I couldn't figure out how to get my dose of maca.
β˜• Now I'm putting it in my espresso and I can't even taste it! I pour my espresso over 1/2-1 tsp, stir, then pour in my steamed milk.
πŸ₯΅ Maca is great for perimenopause, it acts on the adrenal glands to help produce progesterone, skipping right over the need for the ovaries to produce it. As we head into perimenopause (5-10 years before actual menopause starts!) our progesterone starts to tank and our estrogen wildly jumps up and down.
🧠 Not only does maca help with progesterone, but it also acts as a ln adaptogen for our cortisol levels.

πŸ₯¬ Zeaxanthin is found in leafy greens, citrus, corn, orange peppers, and egg yolk.

πŸ₯•They're found in plants, algae, and photosynthetic bacteria. Others are found in meat, some fish, crustaceans, eggs, and milk.
πŸ«’ They're fat soluble so it's best to throw a splash of olive oil on.
πŸ‹β€πŸŸ© This is one example of a nutrient that's best taken in foods. (Supplementing with beta-carotene can increase the risk of lung cancer in active smokers.)
