One thing I wish more people knew...

Therapists don’t have to personally experience every hardship to help someone through it. That’s what our education, training, and experience are for.

But we’re human too.

Losing my mom at a young age changed the way I move through the world. There’s this strange feeling of always missing your home base.

I never imagined that grief would eventually become Deb’s Day.

Because when someone you love dies, your relationship with them doesn’t end. It just changes.

This is one of the ways I still get to love my mom.

To everyone who has loved her, missed her alongside me, and said “I’m in” without hesitation...

Thank you.
