Butterfly Quest is now afloat! Be part of this amazing project!

Help fill our community with a beautiful kaleidoscope of butterflies! (Yes, a group of butterflies is actually called a kaleidoscope!)

You can support Butterfly Quest, a Quota fundraiser, by buying decorative butterflies and flowers to enhance your home and our community. Butterflies can be hung at businesses and residences, or if you like, you can sponsor these for Quota and we will have them hung in a public location within the community as part of a permanent art installation celebrating the annual monarch migration. Our hope is to have a path of community spirit throughout our area and reaching all the way out to the point, as well as having these beautiful items displayed on lots and lots of homes and businesses (even if not on a direct path to the point). Help make this dream come true! Your purchase not only beautifies the area, but also helps Quota to support our community.

Butterflies come in your choice of 2 colors and are double drilled to be securely hung; or these can be stake mounted at an additional cost. Flowers come on 3 ft stakes in a single color of your choice.

These are made of steel and powder coated and meant to last a long time. They are made locally by Brettrager Machining, LLC - so your purchase not only supports Quota and your community, but also a local, small business. WIN-WIN-WIN!

Attached is a flyer with additional information as well as an order form. Need more info? email: [email protected] or use the QR code on the order form to reach the Butterfly Quest website.

Quota members Mary Doran and Nina O'Loughlin had the pleasure of presenting 50+ Who Care Grant checks to:

The Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce to provide a bench and Little Library for their forthcoming pollinator garden. Shown with Mary and Nina is Suzan Nemeth, Chamber Director. Nina is holding a sample of the Butterfly Quest butterflies that are on sale now. These are manufactured locally by Brettrager Machining, LLC.

And:

The Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency, Inc (NEMCSA). These funds will cover costs for items that come up suddenly for community members in need that require quick funding that grants don't always cover such as family transportation, kids' clothing and school supplies, help with utility costs, etc. Shown with Mary and Nina is Amanda Bergeron, NEMCSA Community Resource & BOSS Program Manager and Co-Host of The Empower & Strengthen Podcast.

50+ Who Care is a sub-group of Quota comprised of both Quota members and community individuals and businesses. This group uses the power of collective giving to make up to 3 grants each quarter based on member nominations.

Also recognized this quarter, but not shown, is the Iosco County Historical Society, who received funds to purchase professional preservation and digitization supplies to allow public access to artifacts without risking damage to the original items.

Congratulations to our 2026 Quarter 2 recipients!!
