What started as a blank canvas became a beautiful reflection of our community. 🎨

As part of National Skilled Nursing Care Week, residents and staff at Touchpoints at Chestnut participated in iCare Health Network’s collaborative art initiative inspired by this year’s theme, “Moments in Bloom.”

Using their own creativity, memories, and ideas, our team transformed a three-foot by three-foot canvas into a personal expression of who we are at Touchpoints at Chestnut. Each detail reflects the thought, care, and heart that went into bringing this piece to life.

We are so proud to have contributed to this meaningful exhibit celebrating creativity, connection, and community across iCare Health Network.

Beauty, blooms, and a little dancing at Touchpoints at Chestnut. 🌸

Residents and staff celebrated National Skilled Nursing Care Week with a Beauty and Bloom Spa Day, created flower bouquets for the outdoor Garden Party Luncheon, and enjoyed music and dancing together.

Residents also worked on their own botanical bloom artwork on canvas, adding a creative touch to a day filled with connection, color, and fun.

Touchpoints at Chestnut recently celebrated reaching 100% census with a Full House Party for our team. This milestone reflects the trust of our residents and families, and the hard work, dedication, and heart our staff brings every day.

Nothing says celebration like a cookout! 🌭

Touchpoints at Chestnut continued National Skilled Nursing Care Week with a cookout for residents and staff to enjoy good food, fresh air, and time together as a community.

At Touchpoints at Chestnut, the Moments in Bloom celebrations were full of appreciation, creativity, and fun. 🌼

Residents presented Sunshine Awards to staff during a special ceremony, complete with flower mocktails, to recognize their hard work and dedication each day.

The day continued with residents learning how to make floral bouquets for our Garden Party Luncheon centerpieces, followed by plenty of smiles and music during Blooming Karaoke Time!

A little appreciation can go a long way!

As part of National Skilled Nursing Care Week, Touchpoints at Chestnut celebrated by writing special notes on “blooms” to thank our amazing nurses for all they do.

Each message was a small but meaningful reminder of the care, compassion, and dedication our nursing team brings to our community every day.

Residents enjoyed a Garden Club activity while helping celebrate Nurses Week! 🌿

Residents created “grow and gift” basil planters to share with our nursing team as a thoughtful token of appreciation. It was a meaningful way to get creative, enjoy a little gardening, and thank our nurses for all they do.

Touchpoints at Chestnut is in full bloom for National Skilled Nursing Care Week! 🌸

The week kicked off with a Taco Bar for staff and a day full of creative, meaningful activities for residents. In the spirit of this year’s “Moments in Bloom” theme, residents helped create a Kindness and Bloom Wall, adding butterflies and words of appreciation for our nursing team.

They also painted flower pots and spent time outdoors with Garden Club, helping brighten the front porch with beautiful hanging flowers.

A great start to a week celebrating kindness, connection, and the people who make our community so special.

It was a lovely way to come together, celebrate the mothers and mother figures in our community, and share a little extra joy and appreciation.

iCare Health Network and all of our care centers are excited to participate in National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW), taking place May 10–16, 2026.

This year’s NSNCW theme, “Moments in Bloom,” celebrates skilled nursing centers, along with the residents, patients, staff, and families who make these communities so meaningful. Established by the American Health Care Association (AHCA) in 1967, NSNCW is an annual week-long observance recognizing the essential role skilled nursing care centers play in supporting America’s older adults and individuals with disabilities.

Stay tuned all week to see what our teams are up to as we celebrate the moments, people, and connections that make our communities bloom!
