We took a little trip right around the corner to visit one of the oldest standing churches in the United States that is still in use. Built in 1682, this historic Quaker “Friends” meetinghouse is a beautiful reminder of the area’s rich history—and it’s still used for worship during the warmer months. What a special piece of history right in our own backyard!

We learned all about how the Friends community works, where the name “Quaker” originated, and what makes their style of worship so unique compared to other faiths. It was such an interesting experience to step inside this beautiful piece of history and learn about a community that has been part of our local story for centuries.

Thank you to the wonderful men who took their time to give us this tour and a deep understanding of the Quaker Faith. What a beautiful experience.

There’s nothing better than gathering together, sharing some laughs, and making sweet memories! Our residents and staff at Candlelight Cove enjoyed a wonderful time together roasting s’mores, enjoying each other’s company, and soaking up all the fun.
From perfectly toasted marshmallows to plenty of smiles, it was an evening full of warmth, friendship, and a little bit of chocolatey goodness! ❤️
