From Rescue to Recognition: Webster Park Honors Rockland Fire Department

Last week, residents and staff from Webster Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, a MSCA member facility, gathered with members of the Rockland Fire Department for an emotional presentation. In recognition of the firefighters' dedication and service to the facility, Webster Park donated an SUV to the department to help support its ongoing work within the community.

When a fire broke out at the Rockland facility on November 29, 2025, the fire department's swift response ensured that all residents were safely evacuated. A resident of the facility, James Swanton, was among those rescued during the night of the fire, and had the honor of presenting the vehicle's keys to Rockland’s Fire Chief, Scott Duffy during the recognition ceremony. The gesture reflects the heartfelt appreciation that the Webster Park community has for the first responders who helped protect its residents during a challenging time.

This meaningful partnership highlights the power of community, compassion, and gratitude in action!
