💛 Su***de Prevention Month 💛

September is Su***de Prevention Month—a time to remind ourselves that every life matters, every struggle deserves compassion, and no one should have to face their darkest moments alone.

Sometimes, the people who are hurting the most don’t show it. A simple “How are you really doing?”, a listening ear, or letting someone know you’re there can make a difference.

If you’re struggling right now, please remember: you don’t have to have everything figured out today. Reach out to someone you trust, a mental health professional, or a crisis service. Asking for help is not weakness—it’s courage.

And if someone comes to you for help, you don’t need to have all the answers. Listen. Stay with them. Take them seriously. Help them connect with support.

🫶 Check in on your people.
🫶 Listen without judgment.
🫶 Speak openly about mental health.
🫶 Encourage professional support when it’s needed.
🫶 Remind others—and yourself—that difficult moments can change.

You matter. Your story matters. There is help, and there is hope.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger or thinking about su***de, contact emergency services or a local crisis line. In the U.S., call or text 988 for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

It’s back-to-school time! 🍎✏️🚌 Here’s when each of our five Mid-Shore counties heads back for the 2026–2027 school year:

📅 August 24, 2026
Dorchester County
Queen Anne’s County
Talbot County

📅 August 26, 2026
Caroline County

📅 August 31, 2026
Kent County

As we celebrate a new school year, let’s remember that mental health is just as important as academic success.
School can bring excitement, but it can also bring stress, anxiety, and big emotions for students, families, and educators.

There are many school-based mental health providers and supports available throughout our Mid-Shore communities to help students navigate challenges and feel supported. If you or your child needs support, please reach out to a school guidance counselor, school social worker, teacher, or administrator. You don’t have to face challenges alone. 🫶

Wishing all of our students, teachers, staff, and families a safe, successful, healthy, and amazing school year! 🌟

Here’s to new beginnings, new friendships, lots of learning, and memories that last a lifetime!

Welcome back, Mid-Shore! And remember: taking care of our mental health is part of taking care of our whole selves. 💙

Thursday, August 20th is the next group! We hope to see you there :)
