Patricia Moxey,LMSW

Patricia Moxey,LMSW “Helping people find clarity, connection, and resilience through life’s challenges.” Couples therapy shouldn’t feel like emotional triage.

When every session begins with conflict and ends in exhaustion, it’s easy to lose your footing. My goal is to offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where both partners can share openly, rebuild trust, and work through challenges such as infidelity, emotional disconnection, or life transitions. I also support individuals facing anxiety, stress, and major changes, helping them reconnect with their authe

ntic self and uncover the strength and resilience that already lives within them. Through a collaborative and compassionate approach, I guide clients toward healthier communication, stronger relationships, and a renewed sense of personal growth.

At Shore Counseling, I believe therapy is about helping you help yourself in a supportive, nonjudgmental space. Together, we explore what may be holding you back and begin to understand the patterns that impact your thoughts, emotions, and relationships. I help you build self-awareness, confidence, and practical tools to manage anxiety and life stressors. Therapy is not about fixing you—it’s about empowering you to reconnect with your strengths and move forward with clarity. Change becomes possible when you understand yourself on a deeper level and begin to trust your own voice. You deserve a life that feels fulfilling, balanced, and truly your own.

In therapy, I provide a safe, supportive space where you can begin to understand what you’ve experienced and how it has impacted you. If you’ve been affected by gaslighting, manipulation, or emotional abuse, it’s common to feel confused, anxious, and disconnected from yourself. Together, we will work through that confusion, rebuild your sense of self, and help you reconnect with your thoughts, feelings, and boundaries. Using a trauma-informed approach, I help you process the pain, reduce anxiety, and develop healthier patterns in your relationships. Healing is not about going back to who you were—it’s about becoming a stronger, more grounded version of yourself. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, reactive, shut down, or stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand? Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), developed by Richard C. Schwartz and inspired by the powerful message in No Bad Parts, I help clients understand that there are no bad parts—only protective parts that have worked hard to keep you safe. In our work together, we gently explore the anxious part, the perfectionist part, the people-pleasing part, and the hurt child part carrying old wounds, all within a safe, grounded space where your nervous system can soften. I integrate guided IFS exercises and structured reflection workbooks to help you map your internal system, track triggers, build self-compassion, and strengthen your calm, compassionate Self so you can respond instead of react. This work is especially helpful for anxiety, depression, emotional flooding, relationship triggers, perfectionism, and unresolved childhood pain. As your therapist, I walk alongside you with curiosity and care, helping every part of you feel heard, understood, and supported so true healing can begin. — Patricia Moxey, LMSW

“I help individuals and couples heal, reduce anxiety, and build stronger, authentic connections.”

In therapy, discovering your authentic self enables you to break free from old patterns that no longer serve you. When you learn to honor your true feelings and values, life begins to feel more aligned and less overwhelming. Together, we can uncover the parts of you that may have been hidden beneath anxiety, stress, or self-doubt. Living authentically means building relationships that reflect who you are, not who you think you “should” be. It opens the door to deeper connections, greater confidence, and lasting peace. Therapy gives you the tools to navigate challenges while staying true to yourself. Finding your authentic self is not just healing—it’s the foundation for a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
