I’m absolutely loving the way this yarn is working up! It’s a OOAK colorway that I kept for myself because I loved how it came out. Just right for my first attempt at designing a crocheted sock! I’m also loving how the sock is coming along as well. I might have to see if I can come up with a similar colorway on purpose!

Excited to have something good to share! This might not be of interest to some but I use crochet as therapy for many things - it helps with my anxiety, it gives my brain something to focus on and helps keep brain fog at bay, and helps keep my hands busy. This is a new step forward in my crochet life as my first published crochet pattern was released today! My blog is very much a work in progress as I figure out the complexities of WordPress but feel free to drop by and check it out. It WILL be getting better as time goes by and free patterns will be available soonish!

You guys! I’m so excited! Release day for the Elizabeth Cowl is finally here! Check it out on KT & the Squid! While you’re there, browse through all the beautiful yarn she has and p…

The holidays are fast approaching and for many, that means traveling to see family. There are some great suggestions here. I’m heading to Iowa (from SoCal) on Wednesday to cuddle my brand new great-niece (born on Halloween) and see family. I’ll be flying but I’ll still be purring some of these tips into practice to cope with the flight. The one thing I’ve learned to do that makes the biggest difference for me is requesting wheelchair service at the airport. It makes going through security a little better, especially not having to stand in long lines, and it’s a true godsend if you have to change planes.

#9 is a brilliant idea.
