My kids have the advantage. Sometimes that means a mom that gives them a few J hooks and tells them to walk it off. When they get hurt playing or doing the sports that make them happy, they know the recovery will be swift. RAPID moms are a different breed, no boo boo kissing here. We’re not the same 🤷🏼‍♀️ Have an athlete that needs a speedy recovery? Book RAPID to get started.

Food tips are always a hit! ♥️
My first client brought me her home made sourdough chocolate chip cookies she made last night. Other favorites are - real maple syrup, home made sauces, Alaskan wild caught salmon and halibut, and eggs from clients that have chickens til ours start laying 🫶🏻 if you’re ever thinking “I wonder if she would like that?” The answer is probably yes 😂

RAPID recruits your body’s immune system by signaling your microphages to help your body kickstart its own healing process, pretty cool!

Watching a macrophage repair a damaged blood vessel is honestly mind blowing.

A tiny immune cell sensing damage, migrating with purpose, cleaning debris, coordinating repair, communicating with surrounding tissues…all without us consciously doing a thing.

As therapists, I think we sometimes forget how unbelievably intelligent the human body already is. We love to talk about techniques, protocols, tools, and interventions, more and more, but healing isn’t something we “do” to people. The body does the healing.

What we can do is provide an input. We can change nociception, reduce threat, improve movement, alter loading, influence circulation, create sensory change, and maybe help create a better environment for the body to do what it’s already trying to do.

But the real magic?
That belongs to the immune system, the nervous system, and the incredible repair processes happening every second beneath the surface.

The more we learn, the more humbled we become by the intelligence of human physiology.

The body is not weak.
It is constantly adapting, defending, repairing, and trying to survive.

And honestly…macrophages are little badass miracle workers. 🧠⚡️

Lateral epicondylitis - tennis elbow 🎾💪🏻

🧠 One of my favorite things about this work is seeing what happens when someone tries it with absolutely zero expectations.

This weekend, I treated a family member while they sat in a lawn chair in the front yard during a cookout. No treatment room. No fancy setup. No massage table. Just a few minutes focused on some forearm and wrist discomfort.

Today, they told me their forearms feel better than they have in a long time and that they were genuinely impressed by the results.

I hear it all the time:
“But how much can really change in a few minutes?”
“How can treating one area affect another?”
“That sounds too simple.”

The human body is fascinating. Sometimes the thing causing pain isn’t where the pain is being felt, and sometimes small changes can create surprisingly big results.

I never expect anyone to believe me just because I say it works. I much prefer when the results do the talking. 😊

One of the things I love most about this work is being reminded that the nervous system is capable of change.

Last night, I worked with someone who has Ménière’s disease — a condition that can involve vertigo, tinnitus, hearing loss, and a feeling of fullness or pressure in the ear. He has been struggling with persistent fullness in the affected ear for months, despite multiple medical interventions.

After treatment, he noticed the fullness had decreased.

Today, I received a text from his wife saying his exact words were:
“No fullness.”

Now to be very clear:
This is NOT me claiming to cure Ménière’s disease. This is not medical advice, and one positive response does not equal a guaranteed outcome.

But as a practitioner, moments like this are incredibly meaningful.

The nervous system, vestibular system, eyes, cranial nerves, jaw, neck, and autonomic nervous system are all deeply interconnected. Sometimes when we change the way the brain is processing sensory information and tension patterns, the body responds in ways that can be surprising.

Even temporary changes matter.
Temporary change tells us the system is adaptable.

I’m incredibly grateful for clients who trust me, allow me to think critically, and let me continue learning and growing as a practitioner.

Bodywork rooted in science, led by intuition. 🖤
