Please Join Us in Welcoming Dr. Matthew D. Henriques to Monmouth Cardiology Associates!

We are excited to announce that Dr. Matthew D. Henriques will be joining Monmouth Cardiology Associates on August 17, 2026, as an Electrophysiologist.

Dr. Henriques brings exceptional training and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He completed his Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at NYU Langone Health and his Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Stony Brook University Hospital, where he also served as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Harvard University.

Beyond his outstanding clinical training, Dr. Henriques has an impressive background in cardiovascular research, with numerous publications and presentations focusing on atrial fibrillation, cardiac arrhythmias, electrophysiology, and cardiac device therapy. He is also fluent in Spanish and has been actively involved in community cardiovascular screening and leadership initiatives through the Heart Rhythm Society.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Henriques to the MCA family and look forward to the expertise, innovation, and compassionate care he will bring to our patients.

Please Join Us in Welcoming Dr. Akash S. Patel to Monmouth Cardiology Associates!

We are excited to announce that Dr. Akash S. Patel will be joining Monmouth Cardiology Associates on August 17, 2026, as an Interventional Cardiologist.

Dr. Patel brings exceptional training, leadership, and a passion for providing outstanding cardiovascular care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from The College of New Jersey as a Cum Laude graduate and Honors Scholar before receiving his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.

He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Boston University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Medical Resident, followed by both his General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Fellowships at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was selected as Chief Interventional Cardiology Fellow.

In addition to his extensive clinical training, Dr. Patel has been actively involved in medical education, research, and quality improvement initiatives, with a focus on cardiovascular disease, cardiac amyloidosis, and vascular medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and holds certifications in Nuclear Cardiology and Adult Echocardiography.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Patel to the MCA family and look forward to the expertise, innovation, and compassionate care he will provide to our patients.
