ECSL stepped out into the community this last Thursday to enjoy a little healing through local music. 🎶💜
But the evening became about so much more than music.
We invited our beautiful people to participate in something symbolic and intentional by decorating their own floating lanterns. These lanterns weren’t simply an art project—they became a representation of the things we carry that we must be willing to let go of in order to keep moving forward in recovery.
Fear. Shame. Regret. Anger. Guilt. Old versions of ourselves. The things that once served us but no longer belong where we're going.
As the sun went down, we released our lanterns onto the water—watching them float away and allowing ourselves, even if just for that moment, to release some of what we've been carrying. 🏮✨
Recovery is about more than putting down substances. It's about learning how to live differently, heal deeply, connect with others, and make room for something new.
And sometimes healing looks like music, community, a beautiful sunset, and watching something you've finally decided to let go of drift away. 💜

We’ve got a new little one on the way! 🍼

Eau Claire Sober Living is preparing to welcome an incredible mom and her baby in a couple of weeks, and we’re putting together a few essentials to help them get settled.

Diapers? Yep.
Wipes? Absolutely.
Baby clothes, bottles, blankets, and other newborn necessities? YES, PLEASE.

If you have gently used or new baby supplies you’d like to donate, we’d love to put them to good use. Because it takes a village to raise a baby… and a whole lot of diapers.

Help us give this mom and her little one the warmest welcome possible. 🥹

🎢 EAU CLAIRE SOBER LIVING INVADED VALLEYFAIR! 🎡🔥
Yesterday, the ECSL crew packed up and headed to Valleyfair for a day full of roller coasters, ridiculous screams, nonstop laughs, and some good old-fashioned SOBER FUN! 🙌😂
Days like this are such an important reminder that recovery isn’t just about what we leave behind—it’s about everything we get to experience moving forward. ❤️
We get to build friendships. We get to laugh. We get to make memories. We get to try new things. And apparently… we get to find out who can handle the roller coasters and who absolutely CANNOT. 😂🎢
Yesterday wasn’t just a trip to an amusement park. It was another memory made together and another example of what it looks like to build a life worth staying sober for.
✨We are creating a lifestyle that lasts a lifetime. ✨

This amazing man, who is just shy of two years sober and was our first male graduate from ECSL’s William House, had court on August 5.

And on that day, he officially gained full custody of his four beautiful children.

Sean is one of the best dads and his kids are everything to him. He has done therapy, taken classes, completed everything that was asked of him, and then some. But he didn’t do it because he had to. He did it because he wanted to become the best version of himself and be the dad he always wanted to be.

Now, he gets to see the fruits of all that hard work.

Congratulations, Sean! We are so incredibly happy for you and so, so proud of you!
