Stop Planning Fall Programs in September and Start Now Instead!
As summer winds down, it's tempting to focus only on today's calendar. But some of the best fall programs begin weeks —or even months—in advance.

Here's what Activity Professionals should be working on now:
• Book entertainers before their calendars fill up.
• Reach out to apple orchards, pumpkin farms, and community partners.
• Order seasonal craft supplies before popular items sell out.
• Meet with your dietary department about fall-themed events.
• Ask residents what traditions they'd like to see this year instead of assuming what they want.

A little planning now can make September, October, and November feel much less stressful—and much more meaningful.
