📱 How easy is it to actually get ahold of your doctor?

At Inclined Health, I keep my patient panel intentionally small so that when my members need me, I have time to respond.

Whether it’s a refill, an appointment, a quick question, a prior authorization, or something more complicated—you can call or text and know you’ll hear back promptly.

Direct access to your doctor shouldn’t feel like a luxury. In Direct Primary Care, it’s simply part of the model.

Ive been reflecting on how grateful I am for the members of Inclined Health. I do most of my reflection with coffee on our front stoop at the office in Eburg.

When I practiced in the traditional healthcare system, I was genuinely thankful for the relationships I built with my patients. Those relationships were always the best part of my job.

But there was something that never sat quite right with me.

Much of my day was spent trying to balance two responsibilities: taking great care of my patients while also making sure my documentation satisfied the requirements of the insurance system. It often felt like I was serving two masters.

Today, things are much simpler.

My livelihood doesn’t depend on billing another visit or documenting another diagnosis. It depends on earning and keeping the trust of the members who have chosen Inclined Health. If I take great care of my members, they’ll continue to place their trust in me. That’s the entire business model.

There is something incredibly freeing about that.

I have fewer appointments each day, but far more meaningful conversations. I know my members better than I ever could before. I know their families, their goals, their worries, and what motivates them. That has made practicing medicine enjoyable in a way I never imagined.

So today, I simply wanted to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who believed in this little practice enough to follow me here. You aren’t just patients on my schedule—you are the reason Inclined Health exists. You’ve allowed me to build a practice centered on relationships instead of paperwork, and I will never take that for granted.

As Jesus said, “No one can serve two masters…” (Matthew 6:24).

For the first time in my career, I truly feel that I have one mission: to care for the people who have entrusted me with their health.

Inclined Health is one month old!!!

I am incredibly grateful for all of the support, resharing of posts, friendly shoutouts from the community.

We have already welcomed 50+ members, and it’s been challenging but rewarding getting to know each person and start laying down work towards their health goals in a personalized manner.

I am nearly thru onboarding all the patients that signed up February-May, and I finally have some openings available in late June/July for new members.

Thanks again to all that have trusted their care in me or have referred loved ones to me. Your support means more than you know.

The ribbon was cut on Inclined Health today.

Tonight was a celebration of what we’ve built. Friends, family, local leaders, and fellow small business owners came out in support. It may have felt like an ordinary evening to many—but for me, it was something much more. It was the realization of a dream, shared with the people who helped make it possible.

This week was a whirlwind. I saw my first patients in the office, made a home visit, put the final touches on the space, handled my own faxing, scanning, scheduling, and calls, and worked to build efficient workflows—while making sure each patient felt heard, seen, and cared for. Most visits ran over an hour. Patients left happy, and many expressed their gratitude in hugs.

I’m quickly learning how challenging—but fulfilling—it is to work for yourself, and I absolutely love it.
