Nothing beats hearing that someone is feeling better and making progress. 👊

My goal is always to help patients not only recover, but also maintain those results outside the office. Recovery really is a team effort… I do my part, you do yours, and the body usually responds pretty well when we stay consistent. 😎

Congrats to all of the Shakopee Saber seniors that graduated over the weekend, including my oldest daughter Addison. It was fun to watch many of you that I know cross that stage! Summer travel is a lot more fun when your body actually enjoys the trip too. ☀️✈️🚗

One thing I see every year is people heading into vacation already carrying tension and tightness… then adding long car rides, flights, luggage, different beds, and less movement on top of it.

That’s usually when neck pain, headaches, tight hips, and low back stiffness show up halfway through the trip.

A few things I recommend BEFORE traveling:

✔️ Get adjusted before long travel days
✔️ Move every 1–2 hours during road trips
✔️ Stretch your hips and upper back before driving
✔️ Hydrate more than you think you need
✔️ Don’t ignore small aches before vacation starts

The goal isn’t just getting through the trip. It’s actually feeling good while you enjoy it. 😎

Recovery isn’t optional, it’s part of performance. And when it gets ignored, that’s when things start stacking up. 💯

For me, recovery looks like keeping the nervous system functioning well with adjustments, staying on top of mobility so joints move the way they should, actually taking recovery days, and supporting everything with hydration and nutrition so the body can keep up.

I also like supporting recovery from the inside out. NAC is one I’ll recommend since it helps your body produce glutathione, a key antioxidant that supports recovery, reduces stress on the body, and helps you bounce back faster. 👇

Travel sounds fun… until your body feels like it went through something it wasn’t ready for. 🚗✈️

Most travel pain isn’t from one big thing, it’s from staying in the same position too long. 👀

Here’s what I do when I’m traveling:

🔷 I set my seat so my hips are level and my back is supported.
🔷 I keep my head over my shoulders instead of drifting forward.
🔷 I take breaks every 1–2 hours to move around.
🔷 I do quick stretches at stops or even in the aisle on flights.

It doesn’t have to be perfect, just enough to keep your body from locking up. 👍

I’ve have had the opportunity to know and work with a lot of amazing people who have done some incredible things. This might be the most impressive display of human mental and physical grit that I have heard of someone accomplishing. Kate completed a 250 mile race (which really was more like 253 miles)! Just incredible. I’m so very proud of you Kate and am honored you gave me your bib to add to “The Wall of Awesome.” Keep after your adventures! 🙌🏻💪🏻
