Your why is what carries you forward on the days you want to quit.
I remember being in massage school, driving 9 hours a week to and from class, then going home at midnight to work my job. I was five months in & everything felt SO heavy. Clinicals had just begun, memorizing all the muscles & structures of the body & other homework was intense, I just lost my job and as a single mom, I was exhausted ā physically, emotionally, and financially.
One day, I stepped into my campus directorās office.
āI donāt think I can do this anymore.ā I said with tears rolling down my cheeks. I was about to go back to working at my old Walmart job & give up on my dream. All in the name of trying to be ārealisticā.
She looked at me and said:
āOne day, your kids will look back and remember that when things got hard⦠their mom didnāt quit on her dream.ā
That moment stayed with me. So, I prayed for solutions & figured out how to keep going.
I finished school, walked across the stage to get my diploma, and saw the pride on my kidsā faces; a moment Iāll carry forever.
They say if you want to grow & change your life, you must find your why.
For it will carry you through the darkest of times.
These 4 are my whyš¤
Because if I donāt show them whatās possible, the world will be quick to tell them their dreams are unrealistic, impossible & they should just settle.
But I want them to know ā deeply ā that their dreams are meant for them. That their desire is divine guidance. That ease, support, and expansion meet them when they stay aligned with what calls them forward.
I want them to trust that life responds to courage, that momentum follows belief, and that never giving up opens doors they donāt yet see.
That is my why.
Whatās yours?
