💜 Honoring Overdose Awareness & Remembering Those We’ve Lost 💜

Harford R.E.N.E.W. was honored to attend the Voices of Hope Overdose Awareness Vigil in Edgewood on Monday night.

It was a powerful evening of remembrance, reflection, hope, and community. We gathered to honor the lives lost to overdose, stand beside the families and friends who carry their memories, and support those who continue to fight for recovery every single day.

Every candle represented a life. Every name represented someone who was loved. Every story reminded us why this work matters. 🕯️

We are grateful to Voices of Hope for creating a space where our community could come together—not only to remember those we have lost, but also to remind those still struggling that recovery is possible and hope is alive.

At Harford R.E.N.E.W., we will continue working toward a future where women have a safe place to heal, a community in which to grow, and the support they need to build a new future.

Today, we are celebrating a truly incredible milestone!

We are so grateful to witness how far Megan has come on her recovery journey. Through determination, perseverance, and a commitment to building a new life, she accomplished something amazing—she earned her driver's license and purchased her very own car on the same day!

Moments like these remind us that recovery is about so much more than overcoming the past. It's about restoring hope, achieving goals, gaining independence, and creating a future filled with possibilities.

Megan, we are so proud of you. Your hard work, resilience, and courage continue to inspire everyone around you. Keep believing in yourself—the best is still ahead!

Celebrating a Powerful Milestone 🎉

Today we are honoring one of our resident Megan who has reached 1 YEAR in recovery — a beautiful testament to courage, perseverance, and transformation. In her own words:

"I’m thankful for a peace of mind, for the freedom from the chains that once bound me. I’m grateful for finding a new support system of beautiful women and slowly gaining my daughter’s trust back.

I found a strength inside of myself I didn’t know I had.. I let go of toxic people and learned my worth.

I’ve learned to have patience and to stop fighting everything that comes my way bc everything usually works out better without my interference.

I’ve learned what healthy boundaries are and how to actually enforce them. I now know that NO is a full sentence and I do not have to compromise myself for ANYONE.

I’ve truly learned the definition of never alone, never again. I really never have to live like that again, one step, one day at a time.. WE DO RECOVER"
