Today is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

Metastatic breast cancer, also known as stage IV breast cancer, occurs when breast cancer spreads beyond the breast to other areas of the body. While it is the most advanced stage of breast cancer, advances in treatment continue to offer hope and help many people live longer with the disease.

Metastatic breast cancer is a reality faced by thousands of individuals and families every day. Today is an opportunity to increase awareness, encourage understanding, and recognize the ongoing need for research, support, and progress in breast cancer care.

Strength. Hope. Resilience. Those were the moments that defined yesterday.

Yesterday, CRL Women's Imaging had the privilege of being part of a day dedicated to raising awareness, sharing stories, and celebrating the strength of breast cancer survivors and thrivers.

We were especially proud to have Dr. Jillian Karow, Medical Director, CRL Women's Imaging, join the conversation and help educate the community on the importance of breast health and early detection. She also shared exciting information about Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM), a new and innovative breast imaging technology that represents another step forward in our commitment to providing patients with advanced options for breast health.

As we look back on the day, we're reminded that behind every screening, every diagnosis, and every survivor story are real people, families, and communities. Those stories are why this work matters.

Thank you to The Jason Show, the survivors and thrivers who shared their journeys, and the many organizations and individuals who came together to support breast cancer awareness. It was an honor to stand alongside so many people committed to making a difference.
