500 classes for Yedda! Her genuine love & care for our community is so uplifting✨ Yedda, we are super inspired by your dedication to becoming stronger and taking care of yourself! Read on for Yedda’s heartfelt words about barre3 and her journey⬇️
“Since college, I was a runner. I completed the Twin Cities Marathon at ages 35, 40 and 45 and many half-marathons and 5Ks along the way. I also played tennis in a women’s daytime league for many years. After needing a hip replacement 11 years ago, my running “career” was halted.
I have known Darcy (barre3 instructor) since she was an intern right out of college. In 2023, she was completing instructor certification at as I was preparing to retire. After asking her what barre3 was all about, I decided to try one of her classes (where I would feel less self-conscious). I started with a class pack, switched to monthly membership and the rest is history.
During these past 3 years I paused my membership during meniscus surgery, a tonsillectomy, and a home remodel but returned as soon as I was able. Last June I was informed I needed a total knee replacement, so I set a goal to reach 500 before surgery… I have attained 500 - one month early!
This studio embraced me from the beginning, I have made many friends of all ages, which, as a loner by nature, I was concerned might be a challenge post-retirement. The sense of community, numerous and
evolving variety of workouts, and nonjudgmental culture have made barre3 my happy place. This practice is integral to my daily routine, keeping my mind and body at their best.”
