Thank you to our incredible community partners and volunteers who helped make this year's Operation Border Health (OBH) a success!

The success of OBH is made possible through the collaboration of numerous organizations and dedicated volunteers. Hidalgo County Health & Human Services worked alongside partners including Remote Area Medical - RAM, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), the , PSJA ISD, and many other community organizations. Additionally, we partnered with dental providers like Red Square Dental & Orthodontics and Luna Dental , as well as organizations and educational programs that provided volunteers and support, including TSTC in Harlingen Dental Hygiene, South Texas Vocational Technical Institute , The College of Health Care Professions , UTRGV OT, UTRGV School of Medicine, RGV College, and Hidalgo County MRC.

Through your dedication, collaboration, and service, we were able to help expand access to essential healthcare services for individuals and families across South Texas. Your commitment to supporting underserved communities and strengthening public health efforts makes a lasting impact.

We are grateful for your partnership and the important role you played in bringing this mission of care and community together.

🦇⚠While most bats are healthy, some can carry rabies, a serious disease that can be spread through bites or scratches. Never touch or pick up a bat, even if it appears sick, injured, or dead. If you have been bitten, scratched, or had direct contact with a bat, wash the area with soap and water immediately and contact your healthcare provider as soon as possible.

🦇⚠Aunque la mayoría de los murciélagos están sanos, algunos pueden portar rabia, una enfermedad grave que puede transmitirse por mordeduras o arañazos.
