I may delete my page, I may just stay away, I'm still considering what is best my my own mental health as a therapist when it comes to social media.
*
Came back to SM actively for 1 week and it has been really awful. In fact I truly connected more with others while I was away. Texting eachother directly, seeing eachother in person, and when it comes to my clients I felt much more present.
*
I have come to the conclusion that for now, for me, I need to stay away.
*
But that doesn't mean Im not social and I dont want to hear from you!
*
If anyone needs to reach me you can reach me through my website if you dont already have my number.
*
If you have wondered if social media is not good for your mental health, try a 6 month break and see if you actually miss it. And when you come back does it feel good? Bad? Neutral?. When was the last time you took a long break?

We’re excited to share what Beyond Boundaries Counseling RGV is up to next!

This Tuesday, Jessica Hope Murph, LMFT-S will be presenting at the South Texas Adolescent Health Summit:

BEYOND THE BEHAVIOR:
What Teens Want Adults to Know

This presentation was created for the many adults who interact with adolescents — educators, mental health professionals, healthcare providers, youth-serving organizations, community professionals, caregivers, and anyone who wants to better understand the young people they serve.

We’ll explore what may be happening underneath behaviors like withdrawal, anger, avoidance, impulsivity, shutdown, perfectionism, and “I don’t care.”

We’ll also talk about culture and life in South Texas, identity, neurodiversity, trauma, family and relationship systems, practical ways adults can respond differently, and how to navigate the very confusing world of mental health professionals and therapy options.

Because behavior is communication.

And sometimes changing the question from “What’s wrong with them?” to “What’s happening here?” changes everything. 💚

I disappeared for 9 months and accidentally wrote a workbook. 😭🖤

📖 *Please Ground Me Before I Spiral*
*A Down-to-Earth Workbook for Nervous Systems That Are Trying Their Best*

It’s officially published on Amazon:
https://a.co/d/00vMinkG

This book is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, q***r-inclusive, body-trusting, anti-ableist, practical, grounded, and intentionally written in actual human language.

Basically:
therapy tools for people whose nervous systems are doing THE MOST.

Inside are grounding tools, emotional regulation skills, nervous system education, reflective prompts, body-based coping strategies, and compassionate reality checks pulled from approaches like ACT, DBT, EFT, mindfulness, attachment work, somatic therapy, and more.

Not:
✨ perfect healing vibes ✨

More:
“Hey babe your brain thinks replying to that email is a bear attack.”

I wrote this for:

* the overthinkers
* the masked autistic/ADHD babes
* the anxious high-functioning friend
* the trauma survivors
* the q***r kids who became emotionally self-aware too early
* the people trying very hard while secretly running on fumes

Also extremely funny that after finishing a workbook about nervous system regulation, my own nervous system immediately hit me with a migraine flare-up. Incredible commitment to the theme honestly.

Anyway. Hi. I made a thing. And I’m really proud of it. 🖤

BIG NEWS 🖤

I’m incredibly excited (and honestly a little emotional) to officially share that my first workbook is now published on Amazon.

📖 Please Ground Me Before I Spiral
A Down-to-Earth Workbook for Nervous Systems That Are Trying Their Best

https://a.co/d/00vMinkG

This workbook was created for the humans I work with and care about most:

- overwhelmed nervous systems
- neurodivergent minds
- trauma survivors
- anxious overthinkers
- emotionally exhausted caregivers
- q***r and marginalized folks trying to exist in systems that often ask us to disconnect from ourselves just to survive

I wanted to create something that felt accessible, grounded, compassionate, and actually practical for real life.

Not fluffy “good vibes only” wellness culture.
Not shame-based self-help.
Not a workbook that talks at people.

Something human.

The book blends concepts from ACT, DBT, EFT, mindfulness, attachment theory, somatic work, nervous system education, and trauma-informed care — but translated into clear, relatable language with tools people can realistically use outside the therapy room.

Inside are grounding exercises, emotional regulation tools, nervous system education, reflective prompts, body-based coping strategies, and practical ways to better understand the relationship between emotions, trauma, stress, and survival responses.

This project became deeply personal to me over the past several months, and I’m genuinely proud of what it grew into.

As a therapist, one of the things I care about most is helping people feel less broken and more understood. This workbook was built with that exact intention.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my work, trusted me with your stories, encouraged me creatively, or simply reminded me to keep going when my brain was doing the absolute most. 🖤

And yes — the title is intentionally dramatic because honestly? Sometimes our nervous systems are also intentionally dramatic.

Your local q***r therapist finally wrote the workbook her clients kept jokingly telling her to write. 😭

This is not a meditation retreat. This is a practical, down-to-earth workbook for real people with real nervous systems. If your thoughts spiral, your body gets overwhelmed, or your emotions feel too big or too fast, this book helps you understand what is actually happening—and what to do about...

Peach is seriously the drama AND the comedy of this household. She’s gone from anxious little chaos gremlin to feisty, sassy queen of playtime. Honestly, she thinks everyone exists to throw her toys. (And… she’s not wrong.)

She’s also finally learning that cuddles aren’t a trap and that sometimes Mom needs to write her therapy notes without being tackled. Big brother Vader has been her Yoda, teaching her the sacred art of boundaries — aka when to zoomie and when to chill before Mom loses her mind.

From shredding everything in sight to becoming the sweetest snugglebug-in-progress, Peach is proof that rescue dogs are just glow-up stories waiting to happen. Proud of our little gremlin-turned-goddess.
