“I feel prepared. I feel comfortable.”

Isn’t that how we all want to feel when a client brings up concerns?

S*x therapy training is about more than gaining knowledge. It’s about developing the skills, confidence, and clinical judgment to navigate conversations about sexuality with curiosity, competence, and care.

Our AASECT approved S*x Therapy Certificate Program helps clinicians build that foundation so they can show up for their clients with greater confidence, even when the topics feel complicated or unfamiliar.

Because your clients deserve a therapist who feels prepared to meet them where they are. And you deserve training that helps you get there.

Ready to grow your skills and confidence as a clinician? Learn more about our CST training program on our website (OKSRI.com) and take the next step in your professional development.

John Green said this on the podcast he hosts with his brother—and he was referring to falling back in love with writing. However, we think this is true regardless of if you’re talking about falling in love with a hobby, a career, or a partner.

Love takes discipline. Choice. Time. Effort.

But why don’t you just leave? Because leaving is hard, and complicated. And, often, very dangerous. We know from researc...

But why don’t you just leave?

Because leaving is hard, and complicated.

And, often, very dangerous.

We know from research that the most dangerous time in an abusive relationship is when the victim decides to leave. Abuse is all about power and control—when a victim decides to leave, their abuser loses the power and control they had. In an effort to regain that control, the abusive behavior often escalates in a way that is actively harmful (and potentially lethal) to the victim.

Leaving isn’t easy.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. We’re going purple with our post today to join the movement.

Today is World Mental Health Day. This years theme is: Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change.

Today is a reminder not just that mental health *is* healthcare—but to involve those who have lived experiences with mental health concerns when shaping policies, advocacy, research, or community-centered care.
