📍 Where in Oklahoma is Scotty?

Scotty is always on the move! Two weeks ago, MOJ spent the morning at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Near You - VIVA Expo 2026 at the OKC Fairgrounds, sharing resources and connecting with families in our community.

A huge thank you to Blue Cross and Blue Shield for sponsoring MOJ’s admission to this event for the second year in a row! We’re grateful for partners who help make it possible for us to get out into the community and connect people with the care and resources they need.

And Scotty wasn’t alone! Dr. Fred Winters, one of our faithful dental clinic volunteers, joined him for the second year. Dr. Winters continues to give his time both inside the clinic and out in the community, and we’re so thankful for his heart to serve.

The event was co-sponsored by the Greater Oklahoma City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Blue Cross and Blue Shield, making it a great opportunity to share MOJ resources with even more of our neighbors.

MOJ will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

We are grateful for our incredible staff, volunteers, and community partners who work so faithfully to bring hope and healing to our neighbors.

We’ll reopen with regular hours on Tuesday. Have a safe and restful Labor Day!

DivorceCare meets tonight at Ministries of Jesus.

Separation and divorce can bring so many difficult emotions, questions, and unexpected challenges. You don’t have to navigate them alone.

DivorceCare is a supportive 13-week group offering practical tools, encouragement, and a place to find healing alongside people who understand what you’re walking through.

Wednesdays at 6:15 PM

Newcomers are welcome to join at any time

Topics include loneliness, hurt, financial and legal concerns, depression, moving forward, and finding hope for brighter days ahead.

It’s not too late to join us. Even though the group has already begun, there’s a place for you here.

📍 Where in Oklahoma is Scotty?

This past Sunday, Scotty and made a stop at for their Local Outreach Fair!

MOJ had the opportunity to share resources, connect with the church community, and spread the word about the many ways Ministries of Jesus is bringing Hope That Heals to our neighbors.

And this one was extra special! Pictured are Gaylon Yates and Willie Smith-MOJ founders, board members, and, even after 25 years, still faithful volunteers. Their continued commitment is such a beautiful picture of what it looks like to serve for the long haul.

Two weeks ago, we gathered for our 10th Annual MOJ Benefit Golf Scramble, and we’re still so grateful for everyone who made the day possible!

This year, 106 golfers and 16 sponsors came together and helped us raise $63,405 for Ministries of Jesus.

We couldn’t do this without the businesses, golfers, volunteers, and friends who continue to show up for MOJ year after year.

Thank you for spending the day with us, supporting our mission, and helping us continue caring for people in our community.

🤫 SECRET #8: The biggest secret of all...

Behind every appointment, every restored smile, every counseling session, every recovery milestone, every volunteer, and every story of hope at Ministries of Jesus is JESUS.

He is the reason we serve. The reason we pray. The reason we believe healing is about more than meeting a physical need.

For 25 years, our mission has remained the same: to demonstrate the healing love of Jesus Christ by providing whole-person care—body, mind, and spirit—to those we serve.
So maybe the biggest secret of all is one we were never meant to keep:

There is hope. And His name is Jesus. 💙

A little extra blessing from the golf course!

Thanks to cooler-than-expected weather at our Golf Scramble (and thank you for your prayers), we ended the day with plenty of beverages left over. Instead of letting them go to waste, we were grateful for the opportunity to donate them to No Boundaries International!

Our own Evelyn Brammer, who has been part of the MOJ family for a year, also gives her time volunteering with this ministry. In fact, her very first day at MOJ was the Golf Scramble last year. We’re so thankful for Evelyn and the many ways she chooses to serve our community.

MOJ has been blessed by the generosity of so many over the years, and it’s a joy when we get the opportunity to pass that blessing along.

🤫 SECRET #7:

You probably know someone we’ve helped... you just don’t know it.

Every day, people walk through the doors of Ministries of Jesus carrying stories you may never hear and needs you may never see.

And that’s okay.

At MOJ, protecting the privacy and dignity of those we serve matters deeply to us. While we LOVE sharing stories of hope and healing when (and only when) permission is given, so much of the impact happening here happens quietly.

It may be your neighbor. A coworker. Someone sitting beside you at church. A parent at your child’s school.

You may never know their story, but you can help make sure they know where to turn when they need hope.

Help us let the secret out by sharing Ministries of Jesus so more people know compassionate, whole-person care is here when they need it. 💙

Calling all dietitians!

Ministries of Jesus is looking for volunteer dietitians who are ready to use their skills to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

At MOJ, we believe in caring for the whole person, and nutrition can play an important role in helping our patients take practical steps toward better health. By volunteering your time and expertise, you can provide education, encouragement, and support to neighbors who may not otherwise have access to these resources.
