You've decided who gets the house. But who's planning the funeral?

That's a question most people don't think to ask.

In fact, 80% of Americans haven't made arrangements for their own funeral or burial. That's 8 out of 10 people.

We plan for what happens to our stuff. But what about the decisions we leave behind?

This National Estate Planning Awareness Week, here's something worth thinking about:

A will can help determine where your belongings go. But it doesn't necessarily tell your family how you'd like to be remembered or how those arrangements will be paid for.

That's where funeral preplanning and prepayment come in.

Because the best thing you leave your family might not be something they inherit.

It might be one less difficult decision they have to make. ❤️

Cremation isn't the end of the story. But too often, we treat it that way. ❤️

For more than 130 years, Lisle Lester's cremated remains had no permanent resting place.

Until now.

Her story is remarkable. But it also brings up something we don't talk about nearly enough.

What happens after cremation?

For some families, it's keeping an urn at home. For others, it's scattering ashes somewhere meaningful.

But have you ever thought about what happens years from now? Or generations from now?

Will there be a place where your children, grandchildren, or even great-grandchildren can go to remember?

That's why permanent memorialization matters. Not because there's only one right way to remember someone, but because having a place to return to can mean so much.

130 years later, Lisle finally has that place. ❤️

And her story is a beautiful reminder that every life deserves to be remembered.

You planned for everything. Except this.

You made the will.
You named the beneficiaries.
You made sure the house, the savings, and the things you've worked for would be taken care of.

You thought about what your family would need when you're gone.

But did you think about what they'll have to decide?

The phone calls.
The arrangements.
The questions they may not know how to answer.

Burial or cremation?
A service or something more intimate?
How will everything be paid for?

And all of those decisions arriving when they're simply trying to process losing you.

That's the part of planning ahead we don't talk about enough.

Preplanning and prepaying for your funeral can give your family two incredibly meaningful gifts: fewer decisions to make and fewer financial worries to carry.

Your wishes are known. Your arrangements are made. And the expenses you've planned and paid for are already taken care of.

This National Estate Planning Awareness Week, remember that protecting your family isn't just about what you leave them.

It's also about what you don't leave them to figure out.

Some parents have a lifetime of memories. Others have only moments, dreams, and all the things they imagined they'd get to experience.

But the love is no less real. And neither is the loss.

Today, we remember the little ones who were here for far too short a time, including those whose parents never had the chance to hold them.

To every family carrying this kind of love and grief, your baby matters. Your story matters. And you deserve to have both remembered. 🤍

Did you know cremation has been part of modern American history for 150 years?

Today, nearly 2 out of 3 Americans choose it. But here's something many people don't realize: cremation doesn't mean you can't have a traditional funeral, a celebration of life, or a special place to remember someone you love.

There are so many meaningful ways to honor a life.

This Saturday, October 17, marks the first National Cremation Placement Day. A chance to learn more about those options and the importance of keeping memories alive for generations to come. ❤️

You've got opinions about the music. The people. The stories. Maybe even what everyone should wear.

So why leave all those decisions to someone else?

And while we're talking about it, there's something else worth considering. The cost.

Pre-planning your funeral isn't just about making sure your wishes are known. It's also an opportunity to plan for the expenses, explore payment options, and help ease the financial burden on the people you love.

The last thing your family needs while grieving is a mountain of decisions and unexpected expenses.

It's not always an easy conversation. But it's an important one.

And we're here to help you have it. đź’™

“I'm fine.”

Two little words that don't always tell the whole story.

We all have things going on that other people can't see. And sometimes, just having someone sit with us, listen, or ask how we're really doing can mean everything.

So check on your people. And if you're the one having a hard time, let someone check on you, too. đź’š

Her mother's hair. Flowers from the graveside. And a memory transformed into something she could hold onto forever. đź’Ž

There are so many deeply personal ways to remember someone we love. Eterneva creates memorial diamonds using ashes or other sources of carbon, turning something meaningful into a lasting tribute.

We thought this story was a beautiful reminder that remembrance doesn't have to look the same for everyone.

You may not remember every detail.

But you remember who made things feel a little less overwhelming.

Who answered the question you’d already asked twice.
Who gave you time when you weren’t ready to decide.
Who simply made you feel like you weren’t carrying everything alone.

These words came from families we’ve had the privilege of serving, and they mean more to us than we can say.

Because when someone trusts you with one of the hardest days of their life, how you make them feel matters.

Every time. 🤍

We see pink everywhere in October. But behind every ribbon is a real person.

A mom. A sister. A wife. A daughter. A friend.

Someone who’s fighting right now. Someone who made it through. And for some families, someone they would give anything to have back.

There are so many stories behind the pink we see this month. And every one of them belongs to someone deeply loved. đź’—
