When a child experiences the sudden or traumatic loss of someone they love, grief can become intertwined with trauma. The result is childhood traumatic grief, a type of loss that can affect emotional development, relationships, and a person's sense of safety long after the event itself.

For some, those experiences remain unresolved and continue to shape adulthood in ways they may not immediately recognize. This includes anxiety, depression, difficulty trusting others, emotional numbness, or feeling stuck in patterns that seem impossible to explain.

Swipe through this carousel to learn more about childhood traumatic grief, the signs to look for, and why early support matters. If you'd like to explore the topic more deeply, read the full article here: bit.ly/45NZGeV

At The Center • A Place of HOPE, our Christian Mental Health Treatment program offers the opportunity to integrate faith into the healing process for those who desire it. Whether your faith has been a lifelong foundation or you're hoping to reconnect after a difficult season, we meet you where you are with compassion, respect, and evidence-based clinical care.

Faith integration is always optional. There is no pressure or expectation. Those who choose it have access to licensed counselors who can incorporate biblical principles into treatment, along with optional faith-based groups, worship opportunities, and space for prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal.

Our approach to Whole Person Care recognizes that lasting healing involves the mind, body, and spirit. Whatever your story, you don't have to walk through anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health challenges alone.

If you're looking for mental health treatment where your faith can be honored as part of your recovery, we're here to help. Learn more about our Christian Mental Health Treatment Program and speak with our admissions team today: (425) 510-5828

On International Self-Care Day, we’re reminded that self-care is an intentional practice of meeting our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. It’s recognizing that our well-being matters and making time to care for those needs.

In this video, we share three simple ways to practice self-care without guilt: put it on your calendar, start small with just 10–15 minutes a day, and reframe the way you think about caring for yourself.

Self-care isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity that helps us show up as our best selves for the people and things that matter most.

As we reflect on the one-year anniversary of Dr. Gregory Jantz Phd’s passing this Fourth of July, our hearts are filled with gratitude and hope. While we deeply miss his presence, we are reminded each day that his extraordinary legacy lives on through the lives that continue to be transformed.

More than 40 years ago, Dr. Jantz founded The Center • A Place of HOPE on the belief that true healing happens when we care for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. That vision continues to guide our work every day, bringing hope and healing to individuals and families around the world.

To our clients, families, referral partners, and friends, thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we will continue carrying forward Dr. Jantz's mission and the legacy of hope that continues to change lives.
