An Ode to those who don’t feel the glow
Pregnancy is hard. The level of mental, emotional, physical and spiritual change is huge. The day to day presence of what’s shifting, what’s expanding or what’s being altered is a lot. It’s ok to not feel the glow, to feel like crap, and to not like pregnancy. It’s also ok to appreciate that what you are sacrificing through suffering will bring immense joy eventually and that might take some time even months after your baby is born. Every person, every body and every pregnancy is different. I am in the profession where I help women through pregnancy and post partum, and being on this side of it, going through it, is humbling. Women endure A Lot,more than they know, and yet they keep climbing the mountain, and don’t give up. It’s amazing.
If you see a pregnant woman this week just give her a high five in your mind,
Because damn this is something.
