She was the third child born to the couple. Her siblings included:  Anna Jane (1875-1941), Dr. Jesse T. (1877-1951), Eva N. (1882-1969), Linda Emma (1884-1963), John Russel (1887-1918), William Foster (1888-?), and Lt. Joel Furnas (1892-1919).

INEZ HAS BEEN REUNITED! 145 YEARS LATER!

Our MCGS Cemetery Committee was busy today in Irving, Illinois! We were able to reunite this lost monument found in Troy, with her parents and siblings!

A huge thank you to Montgomery County Historical Society VP Mike Rappe and cemetery Caretaker, Bill Jurgena. ❤️

The average age of a Revolutionary War soldier was early 20's. Enlistment age was 16 (15 with parental consent) up to the age of 55 years old. The youngest were 10-11 years old!

It's been an honor to meet with family members of Martha Robinson. Joanna had contacted us several months ago seeking information on her 2nd great grandmother. Martha's headstone was located completely underground! Over the last couple of months, MCGS Cemetery Committee uncovered and repaired the stone. Joanna made the trip from Chicago to meet her cousin and take a tour of Troy City Cemetery. It was such a beautiful and meaningful moment. ❤️ Don't underestimate the power of being someone's search angel. We celebrated with a lunch at Palenque and had wonderful stories to share with new connections made. ❤️ Wishing you safe travels back home.
