Our residents LOVE to have a good time, and let me tell you… playing games around here can get SERIOUSLY FUNNY! 😂

There is nothing better than sitting back and listening to them talk smack, laugh, cheer each other on, and sometimes get just a little too competitive! 😜

Honestly, watching them have this much fun is the BEST part. ❤️ They may be playing a simple game, but the laughter, friendships, and memories being made are priceless.

At the Glenwood, we believe there’s always time for a little fun, a lot of laughter, and maybe a little friendly competition! 🥰

Because age is just a number… but being the reigning champion? THAT’S IMPORTANT! 😂🏆

We want to send a HUGE thank-you to Sarah Bush Hospital for their generous donation of school supplies! ✏️📓 Your support means so much to our Glenwood family and to the local children who will benefit from this drive.

We are also incredibly grateful for the wonderful friendship we’ve built with Chelsea from Sarah Bush! Chelsea, thank you for always being so supportive, kind, and willing to connect with our residents and our community. We truly appreciate you! 🥰

And guess what?! Our school supply drive is still going! 🎒✏️ We will continue accepting school supply donations through the end of August, so there is still plenty of time to help us fill our little school bus! 🚌💙

Every pencil, notebook, marker, or donation makes a difference. Let’s keep coming together as a community and helping our local kids start the school year off right! ❤️

Wanted to share one more video from family night. I love doing family night. It’s probably one of my favorite things to do. Just reminds me of a huge summer barbecue with family! All honesty that’s what it is.!!!!

💙 The Fun Never Ends with Our Friends at Fifth Third Bank! 💙

Last Wednesday, August 12th, we had another wonderful visit from our friends at Fifth Third Bank, and as always, they brought smiles, laughter, and meaningful connections to The Glenwood of Effingham! 🥰

Our friends joined us for a special craft that gave our residents the opportunity to explore and share memories from the 1950s, 1960s, and beyond. From remembering the way life used to be, to sharing stories about growing up, raising families, favorite pastimes, and those simple, wholesome moments from years gone by, it was truly something special. ❤️

There is something so beautiful about watching generations connect through memories. Our residents had so much fun sharing their experiences, and our Fifth Third friends had the chance to learn more about the amazing lives and stories behind the faces they’ve come to know and love.

We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Fifth Third Bank and for the time, kindness, and genuine connection they continue to bring to our Glenwood family. 💙

Thank you for always showing up, making memories with us, and reminding us that the best part of every generation is the stories we share! 🥰

We’re collecting school supply donations for local children in our community, and we’d love your help! ❤️

Stop by Glenwood of Effingham and look for our little school bus inside our facility. You can drop your donated school supplies right into the bus, and together we’ll help local kids start the school year ready to learn and succeed! 🎒✏️🖍️📓

Every donation—big or small—can make a difference! We’ll be collecting supplies through the middle of August, so there’s plenty of time to grab a few extra items on your next shopping trip.

💪😂 When Grandma Decides It’s Time to Show Everyone Who’s REALLY the Strongest! 😂💪

Our beloved Glenwood Grandma — or as my daughter lovingly calls her, “Glenwood Grandma” — decided she was ready to put her strength to the test! And let me tell you… she did NOT come to play! 🤣💪

She took on my daughter AND another resident in a little friendly battle of strength, and we quickly learned that Grandma has still got plenty of fight left in her! 😜🏆

She is truly is such a special part of our community. Her personality, humor, strength, and willingness to have a little fun are exactly what make moments like this so unforgettable. ❤️

We absolutely LOVE seeing our residents laugh, joke around, show off their personalities, and remind us that age is just a number when you’ve got a little determination and a whole lot of sass! 😂💪

We truly feel so fortunate to have one of our wonderful residents who is not only a talented local artist, but is also a proud member of the local Artist Guild! 💕 She is part of the history and creativity of our community and has helped develop such a unique and special style of art.

Having grown up right here in the area, she has so many wonderful stories, experiences, and artistic talents to share. One of our favorite things is watching her teach our residents and share her techniques, creativity, and love of art with everyone around her. 🖌️❤️

Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us! We love learning from you, creating alongside you, and watching your beautiful art inspire our residents. What a special gift it is to have you call Glenwood home! 🥰
